TOASTMASTERS
The toastmasters will announce each phase of the evening, introduce speakers, and explain any traditions in which we will participate. The reception will be bilingual with information in both English and Swedish.
Unlike weddings in some other cultures where speeches are limited to a select few, Swedish celebrations feature many guests sharing stories, well-wishes or performances throughout the meal. The toastmasters coordinate these moments. Let them know if you'd like to do something during the dinner. Please feel free to use the language of your preference.
If you have questions about the schedule or traditions, contact one of the toastmasters. Their role is to ensure that everyone - including international guests - feels included in this special celebration.

Mary Kenny
Mary Kenny holds a very special place in Tim's life. Their friendship spans nearly four decades, beginning in Nebraska and continuing strong to this day despite the miles between them.
Mary is a writer currently based in San Francisco. Their connection has extended to Jonas as well, as Mary has gotten to know him during his trips to the US and during her own visit to Sweden.
Beatrice Rindevall
Jonas and Beatrice have been close friends since 2010, when they first met and Beatrice immediately tried to enlist Jonas in Swedish political activism. As chairman of Sweden’s largest nature organization, Beatrice’s passion for environmental protection and human rights is matched only by her warmth as a friend.
Beatrice has gotten to know Tim over several visits, including hosting the couple during his first visit to Jonas in Sweden when they stayed with her family in Stockholm.
